PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF SERVICE CAREFULLY. BY CREATING AN ACCOUNT, ACCESSING, OR USING THE MINOS GAME SERVER, WEBSITE (https://minos.net), OR ANY RELATED SERVICES (COLLECTIVELY, THE "SERVICE"), YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS OF SERVICE. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO ALL OF THESE TERMS, DO NOT ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICE.

1. Introduction & Acceptance

Welcome to Minos! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Service provided by the Minos Team ("Minos," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Minos.

Minos is a private game server project inspired by, but not affiliated with, Jagex Ltd., the creators of RuneScape. We offer a unique gameplay experience with custom content, features, and modifications.

By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age. If you are between the ages of 13 and 18 (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction), you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Service Description

Minos provides a free-to-play online multiplayer game experience. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service. Access to certain features or content may require meeting specific in-game criteria or may be available through optional purchases (see Section 6).

3. Account

Account Creation: You may need to create an account to access the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.
Account Responsibility: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login information (username and password) and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
Account Security: Minos is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your login information, including loss of virtual items or currency. We strongly recommend using strong, unique passwords and enabling any available security features.
Account Sharing/Selling: You are prohibited from sharing, selling, renting, leasing, or otherwise transferring your account to any other person.
Account Limit: Users are permitted a maximum of four (4) active game accounts per individual player session. Creating additional accounts beyond this limit, using accounts simultaneously in ways that violate fair play, or using multiple accounts to circumvent rules or gain unfair advantages is strictly prohibited.

4. Rules of Conduct

While using the Service, you agree not to:

a. Use cheats, exploits, automation software (bots), hacks, mods, or any unauthorized third-party software designed to modify or interfere with the Service or any Minos game experience.
b. Engage in "Real World Trading" (RWT), which includes buying, selling, or trading Minos items or gold for any other server or real-life currency is strictly prohibited. Our virtual items cannot be sold or exchanged under any circumstances, and any violation of this rule will result in a ban.
c. Harass, threaten, abuse, defame, libel, stalk, or otherwise violate the legal rights (such as rights of privacy and publicity) of others.
d. Post, transmit, or disseminate any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, sexually explicit, hateful, racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable.
e. Impersonate any person or entity, including, but not limited to, a Minos staff member, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
f. Transmit any viruses, worms, defects, Trojan horses, or any items of a destructive nature.
g. Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other user accounts, or computer systems or networks connected to the Service.
h. Disrupt or interfere with the security of, or otherwise cause harm to, the Service, systems resources, accounts, passwords, servers, or networks connected to or accessible through the Service.
i. Advertise or solicit any products, services, or other private servers within the Service without our express written permission.
j. Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.

Violation of these rules may result in warnings, temporary suspensions, permanent bans, or other actions deemed appropriate by Minos staff, at our sole discretion (see Section 8).

5. Intellectual Property

Minos Service: The Service, including all custom software, code, graphics, designs, features (such as Talent Trees, Perks, custom Slayer paths, Witchcraft system, Pokemon evolution, T2C system, custom Raids, etc.), the Minos name and logo, are the property of Minos or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes only, subject to these Terms.
Third-Party Content: The Service is based on and inspired by RuneScape, which is the intellectual property of Jagex Ltd. Minos is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Jagex Ltd. We do not claim ownership over any intellectual property belonging to Jagex Ltd. Your use of the Service must respect the intellectual property rights of Jagex Ltd. and any other third parties.
User Content: If you submit suggestions, feedback, bug reports, or other content ("User Content") to Minos, you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, and display such User Content in connection with operating and improving the Service.

6. Virtual Items and Currency

No Real-World Value: The Service may include virtual items, points, credits, or currencies (e.g., "Minos Gems") (collectively, "Virtual Items"). These Virtual Items are licensed to you for use within the Service only. They have no cash value, are not real currency, and cannot be redeemed for real money or real-world value from Minos or any third party.
License, Not Ownership: You acknowledge that you do not own the Virtual Items but acquire a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use them within the Service.
Management: Minos reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to manage, regulate, control, modify, or eliminate Virtual Items at any time, with or without notice. Minos shall have no liability to you or any third party for the exercise of such rights.
Purchases: If you choose to purchase a license to use Virtual Items (e.g., buying Minos Gems), all purchases are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law or at our sole discretion. You agree to pay all fees and applicable taxes incurred by you or anyone using an account registered to you.
Trading: Trading of Virtual Items between players within the game may be permitted according to game rules. However, any trading outside the approved mechanisms of the Service, especially involving real money (RWT), is strictly prohibited.

7. Disclaimers; Limitation of Liability

Disclaimer of Warranties: THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MINOS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS OF ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICE. YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK. DUE TO THE NATURE OF PRIVATE SERVERS, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THE RISK OF DATA LOSS, ACCOUNT RESETS, OR SERVER SHUTDOWNS.
Limitation of Liability: TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MINOS, ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, OR STAFF BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES (EVEN IF MINOS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES), ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF, OR YOUR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE, THE SERVICE OR ANY CONTENT OR VIRTUAL ITEMS THEREIN. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY AND ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO MINOS FOR ACCESS TO THE SERVICE IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS ($50.00).

8. Termination

Minos reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend, terminate, or restrict your access to your account and the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, for any reason or no reason, with or without prior notice, including, but not limited to, for violation of these Terms or suspected illegal or improper use of the Service. We are not required to provide refunds, benefits, or other compensation if your account is terminated. You may terminate your account at any time by discontinuing use of the Service. Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 shall survive any termination.

9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the appropriate courts located within the United States. (Note: International legal implications should be reviewed by counsel).

10. Changes to Terms

Minos reserves the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time in our sole discretion. If we make material changes, we will provide notice, such as by posting the revised Terms on our website (https://minos.net) or providing an in-game notification. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically for changes.

11. Miscellaneous

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Minos regarding the Service and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

Refund Policy

Effective Date: May 1, 2025

1. General Policy

Thank you for supporting Minos! This policy outlines the terms regarding refunds for any purchases made in connection with the Minos game server, website (https://minos.net), or related services (collectively, the "Service").

Generally, all purchases of virtual items, currency (e.g., "Minos Gems"), subscriptions, or any other digital goods or services offered by Minos are final and non-refundable.

2. Nature of Virtual Goods

When you make a purchase on Minos, you are acquiring a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use virtual items or currency within the Service. You acknowledge and agree that:

These virtual goods have no cash value and are not real currency.
You do not own the virtual goods; you are licensing them for use within the game according to our Terms of Service.
Virtual goods cannot be redeemed for real money or real-world value from Minos or any third party.
Minos reserves the right to manage, regulate, control, modify, or eliminate virtual goods at any time, with or without notice, and shall have no liability to you or any third party for exercising such rights (as outlined in the Terms of Service).

3. Refund Exceptions

Refunds will generally not be issued. Exceptions may be considered only in the following limited circumstances, at the sole discretion of the Minos Team:

Required by Law: Where applicable consumer law explicitly mandates a refund.
Billing Errors: In verified cases of accidental duplicate charges or other demonstrable billing errors caused directly by our systems (not including errors made by third-party payment processors).
Exceptional Circumstances: In extremely rare cases, determined solely by Minos staff, where a significant technical issue prevents access to or use of the purchased license shortly after the transaction, and the issue cannot be rectified.

Dissatisfaction with the game, disagreement with game rules or updates, account suspension/termination due to violation of the Terms of Service, loss of virtual items due to account compromise (unless proven to be a direct result of a Minos system failure), or accidental purchases (unless clearly a system billing error) are generally NOT grounds for a refund.

4. Chargebacks and Disputes

Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank, credit card company, PayPal, or any other payment processor for a purchase made for Minos without first contacting us at `mail@minos.net` to resolve the issue is a violation of our Terms of Service.

Engaging in chargebacks or unwarranted disputes will result in the immediate and permanent suspension or termination of your associated Minos account(s) without notice and forfeiture of any virtual goods associated with the account. We reserve the right to contest any chargeback initiated.

5. Third-Party Payment Processors

Payments made using external services (e.g., Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, Crypto, Chime, Paypal, Western Union, Revolut, etc.) are subject to the terms, conditions, and refund policies of those respective services. While those services handle the transaction, Minos's policy regarding the non-refundable nature of the virtual goods license remains in effect. Any issues related to the payment processing itself should generally be directed to the third-party provider, but please also inform us.

6. Requesting a Refund Review

If you believe your situation falls under one of the limited exceptions outlined in Section 3, you may contact us to request a review by emailing `mail@minos.net`. Please include your account username, transaction details (date, amount, payment method if possible, transaction ID if available), and a clear explanation of why you believe a refund is warranted. Refund reviews are conducted on a case-by-case basis, and all decisions made by the Minos Team are final.

7. Changes to This Policy

Minos reserves the right to modify or update this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised policy on our website or through other service notifications. Your continued use of the Service or making further purchases after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

Minos Game Rules

Rules are subject to change as new problems arise. The purpose of rules is to keep the server stable and preserve the gaming experience of players, new rules may be added at any given point if a new behavior or situation arises that harms the player experience. Remember the four (4) accounts per player session limit for multilogging (see Gameplay Rule 7).

Major Offenses

Real-World Trading
Trading or selling Minos items or gold for any other server or real-life currency is strictly prohibited. Our virtual items cannot be sold or exchanged under any circumstances, and any violation of this rule will result in a ban.
DDoSing/Hacking
Minos does not tolerate any illegal activities, including DDoSing or hacking. Anyone found engaging in these activities will face an indefinite ban from Minos.
Bug Exploiting
Do not deliberately exploit any bugs that cause harm to Minos and the community; you will be banned immediately if you continue to abuse them and fail to report them. In case you discover a bug, please create a #support ticket on our Discord server and notify the staff of the issue. Finding clever ways of exploiting system mechanics beyond their clear intended use also falls into this rule. If you find a bug and abuse it without reporting it, then you will be punished accordingly.

Behavior/Miscellaneous Rules

Racism/Bigotry/Sexism
At Minos, we have a zero-tolerance policy towards racism, bigotry, sexism, and all forms of intolerance. These behaviors can foster hatred, which we firmly oppose.
Harassment/Flame-baiting
We have a strict stance against all types of harassment. Any individual found to be repeatedly engaging in harassment will be permanently banned from the platform. Flaming other players or staff, regardless of the reason, is strictly prohibited and may result in a mute. Calling people negative names, derogatory words, or negatively twisting their usernames/nicknames to be derogatory, is also harassment. It's important to note that flaming may escalate into threats, which is a severe offense that could lead to a ban. Therefore, we urge all users to refrain from engaging in any form of flaming or abusive behavior towards others.
Spamming
All forms of spamming are strictly prohibited here at Minos. While the use of Autotypers is permitted, it should be used with a minimum interval of 15 seconds between each use.
Staff Disrespect
Staff members are all volunteers. They are players just trying to help the server and community run smoothly so be nice. Showing disrespect towards Minos staff members, including but not limited to begging for items, persistently requesting to join the staff team, or exhibiting rude behavior, may lead to a mute or even a ban. Furthermore, it is important to note that the decision of all staff members is deemed final. In case of any disagreement with a staff member's decision on any matter, users are advised to raise the issue with a higher member of staff through the support section on our Discord.
Minos is an English based server
At Minos, we prefer English to be used in the main channels as that is the most common shared language of players. Short conversations in Spanish or Portuguese are allowed in the main channel if not disruptive to the conversation. If a staff member or multiple players requests to begin speaking English then please move to In-Game Proximity Chat or Direct Messages for the harmony of the community as that is the main language. In-Game Proximity chat and Direct Messages can be whatever language you want to use.
False Accusations
If you make a false accusation of rule-breaking against someone. This is different from an honest mistake of thinking someone was doing something they weren't. Staff team will review offense to decide punishment.
Offensive Usernames
Using a Username/Title that is considered offensive could lead to a ban. We aim to maintain a respectful environment for all players and therefore do not condone behavior that may cause offense.
Spamming Account Creation
Please refrain from creating accounts in a spam-like manner.
VPN/Multi Voting
Avoid voting on multiple accounts within a 12-hour window. You should wait at least 12 hours after voting on one account before voting on another. Buying votes under your name from other players is not allowed. Using a VPN or 4G & 5G to modify your IP address is not acceptable to bypass the 12-hour limit on voting sites.
Glitched Items
In the event that you come across an item that appears to be glitched, please notify our staff team immediately and refrain from exchanging it with other players.
Avoiding Punishment
Any attempt to evade punishment may lead to additional consequences at the discretion of the staff member carrying out the punishment.

Gameplay Rules

Third-Party Software (Autoclicking/Macros)
The use of third-party software to gain an unfair advantage while playing Minos is strictly prohibited. This includes but is not limited to bots, auto-clickers, or any other third-party software. The consequences for violating this rule may vary depending on the severity of the offense.
Scamming
Deceiving another player to obtain their in-game items or money is a severe violation that can lead to a ban. This includes failing to pay out winnings during gambling. The ban will persist unless the wronged party is fully compensated. The management has the ultimate authority to decide on lifting the ban. It's worth noting that betting with items or gold that you don't own is also prohibited and can lead to a ban. Relying on chat logs alone is inadequate evidence to prove that a scam occurred. The best way to ensure that a scammer is punished is by providing a video recording of the incident.
Giveaways/Drop-parties
Drop parties are prohibited and can only be hosted by staff after receiving approval. Any kind of giveaway must be approved by a staff member before being carried out.
Account Sharing
Sharing your account with anyone is strictly prohibited. If another person uses your account to break the rules resulting in an IP/Mac ban, the punishment will not be reversed.
Account Boosting
Making an Alternate account to farm achievements/events/materials etc. for your main account is strictly prohibited. The consequences for violating this rule may vary depending on the severity of the offense. Up to permanent account banning all accounts in question.
In-Game Services
It is prohibited to engage in the buying or selling of any in-game services that require sharing of account credentials.
Multilogging
There is a four (4) account restriction per player session. You cannot have them in the same activity. Specifically, you are only allowed to use a single account on a specific activity. You are allowed 1 Main regular account, 1 Ironman of every type and 1 afk account strictly for the purpose of AFK systems.
